Freddie Mac Releases New Single 'Drinks Up'

Drinks Up [produced by Cooarri]

"Today is the first step of many to come.

Greetings to all,

Finally, the first single from Far From Average is available for your listening pleasure. As stated before, 'Drinks Up' was produced by Cooarri LLC and mixed at IC Ent. I think this single portrays this generation we are living in. The trials we engage in, the obstacles we face, and the challenges that occur on a daily basis are all a part of life, but music is that one thing that lets us LIVE, care-free, for those three minutes. For those three minutes that you give me, I tried to not take them for granted, and give you something that would take you away from all the troubles you're facing at the moment, and let you live like it's the best time of your life. For those three minutes and twenty nine seconds. With 'Drinks Up,' I hope I am able to do that.

Thank you all.

Sincerely,

Mac"

You can listen to the song below. Like always, the song can be downloaded by going to ReverbNation

Top Five Freddie Mac Features
#1. Wasted

Wasted.
Fuze B featuring Freddie Mac x Japiro

And then there was ONE. Today the countdown comes on an end with 'Wasted.' Over Gucci Mane's club banger, Fuze B starts this one off and passes it off to Japiro and I. I remember writing this one in a matter of minutes and just thinking it was 'ok,' but after listening, it quickly became one of my favorite features!

Below you can listen for yourself.

Remember, my first single from 'Far From Average' drops tomorrow at 3pm!

#2. No Subliminals

No Subliminals.

Happy Weekend. Today the countdown continues with #2, No Subliminals. I was asked to write a verse to this song by my cousin, Six Deuce. I really don't think we really ever released this track but it's probably one of my favorite verses of all time. From start to finish, I think I picked it up and closed out the song respectfully.

#3 Slander The Titans

 #3. Slander The Titans

Wow. These were the times. Right before the decline of twitter as we once knew it, artists use to just jump on tracks and spit bars back and forth, then upload them and let the people rock with them.

This was the first of two tracks we, and when I say we, I just mean a few guys who rapped, some kind of way we could never decide on a group name because they were so terrible. Trust me. Everything was thrown around from 'The Slandering Five' to 'The Slanderholics.' See what I mean?

However, this track was actually downloaded over 1,000 times, being that back then no one really had thousands of followers like they do now so that meant a lot.

Grab this track here. To go back in time and read the post when this first was released, along with the names of each artist, click here. See you tomorrow for #2.

#4 Lyrical Accountants

Lyrical Accountants featuring Anti x JOsceola x Trav Dave

Today on the countdown we have #4, Lyrical Accountants. On this '6 Minute' instrumental, a few of who I consider some of the most lyrical artists I've worked with, trade bars one after another. This was later added as a bonus track on a mixtape I recorded with friends, on the Freddie Mac & Friends mixtape over a year ago. After a few listens, it will probably still be hard to tell who got who, since everyone pretty much held their own.

You can check out this track here and also catch up on the first of the five by clicking here.

Check back tomorrow for #3.

#5 Back & Forth ft. Bux

#5. Freddie Mac x Bux - Back & Forth

Today I begin the countdown of my top five features. From the look and sound of this one, you will find out I had to reach back in the archives to bring it back for the list (2009 to be exact).Back then I dropped my FIRST mixtape, The Day The Game Stood Still, which is still one of my favorites. Listening to this mixtapes shows me where I was lyrically three to four years ago.

On 'Back & Forth' I swap bars with the talented Bux, or BUXdotdaBEAM as he's known on Twitter. This was one of our first of MANY records we would go on to record. Fast forward to the present day and he's also featured on Far From Average being released this April/May.

As always I'm dropping the link below for your listening pleasure. Please share and check back tomorrow for #4 on the list. You can also check twitter for #TopFiveFreddieMacFeatures starting today. Let me know what you think AND ALSO WHO YOU LIKE TO HEAR ME FEATURED WITH NEXT!

Freddie Mac 'Drinks Up' Artwork + Backseat Freestyle [snippet]

Today I decided to release the artwork and title of my first single off the Far From Average Mixtape dropping this April/May. Drinks Up was produced by Cooarri LLC. If you can remember, they also produced Columbus Nights. I've always liked their productions, they seem to have a nice story line within their beats which are much more than just a drum and a snare. This is one of THREE records they produced off FFA.

I will be releasing this record one week from now and will be keeping you up to date on performances as well. Yes I know it has been a while and believe it or not, some people are still asking when they can hear new music. Well attached below is a snippet of my 'Backseat Freestyle' tagged with artwork and all (shouts out to Mo). Hopefully this will be able to hold you over until next week. Feel free to share.

Also, if you would like to get on the mailing list, give me a shout on any of the links below.

Thanks again,

Mac
